Project

Provide an integrated video projection and room control system for the Training / Boardroom at the Northern Sydney Institute (North Sydney TAFE)

Customer's requirements

Staff were struggling with an aging, adhoc presentation system that was poorly housed in inappropriate furniture. Users were forced to turn their back on the audience to access equipment, which was located in the very corner of the room. The lack of control system equipment resulted in presenters having to deal with a multitude of remote controls, which was very daunting and totally unintuitive.

Our solution

The key to success in this room was to give presenters some where to present from, releasing them from the corner of the room where all the equipment was located. We proposed a custom 2 Bay Timber Lectern that would be positioned as an island, out of the corner and angled towards the centre of the room. All cabling was redirected beneath the floor and into the lectern, leaving a stylish free-standing piece of furniture. The Joey6 LCD control panel was flush mounted to the lectern top, with lap top shelves and input plates on either side of the unit. The projector and motorised screen were updated, and a ceiling mounted document camera was installed positioned for use above one of the lap top shelves, freeing valuable work space.

Classroom projection system with interactive white board. Integration into the schools existing analogue Video Commander network. Ways of simplifying the operation of the projectors for teachers

Our solution

Our design offered a single user-friendly control panel in each room to operate the projector and the Video Commander System. Each room has the ability to connect two computers and two video devices to the projector, all displayed and operated at the interactive whiteboard.

How we helped Pymble Ladies College

Project

School wide digital Public Address system

Customer's requirements

To upgrade existing analogue Public Address system to latest digital technology

Our solution

After extensive consultation and solution presentation with PLC's IT Department, it was agreed that the Peavey Media Matrix was the ideal system to suit the school's needs. Two of Peavey's flagship products, the NION3 & the CAB4n were used to form the heart of the new system, providing a completely software configurable digital audio distribution system. The designed catered for the new digital equipment required whilst incorporating all existing analogue infrastructure where-ever possible.

Some 20 power amplifiers and additional 200 indoor / outdoor speakers were included above and beyond the existing analogue equipment in the school, offering PLC staff the ability to page to any or all of the zones that cover the school grounds. Knowing that announcements can be made to the ENTIRE school offers great piece of mind should information need to be distributed quickly in some emergency or unforseen event. We're confident that this cutting edge modular and entirely configurable system will be serving the school comfortably for the next 20 years.

Provide a mobile multimedia solution for 6 different classroom blocks on campus

To source a user-friendly mobile projection system that could serve several rooms within different classrooms blocks at the school

Our solution

The CINQ mobile multimedia cabinet, which has been developed exclusively by Command Integration, was perfect for this application. CINQ multimedia cabinets vastly simplify the use of portable data projectors.

Our cabinets offer presenters all of the advantages of a permanently installed video projection and room control system in a stylish, easy to manoeuvre multimedia cabinet.

CINQ cabinets incorporate on-board all of the most common inputs required by a presenter, offering control of the desired input from a single user-friendly control panel. This gives presenters the confidence to concentrate on the presentation at hand, and not the logistics of setting up and running multimedia equipment.

How we helped Horsby Girls High School

Project

Upgrade of ageing Public Address system

Customer's requirements

The school PA system was decades old, and in dire need of modernisation. Audio was poor, compromising the quality of announcements. The school recognised the need in this day and age the importance of a reliable PA system to get messages to all.

Our solution

CI performed an audit of the entire system, identifying all faulty equipment. We replaced the entire head end, including the main paging, zone selector panels, monitor panel and amplifiers plus installed around 60 new speakers. This upgrade will now serve the school for decades to come.
